Introducing Zintarah Haven Supported Accomodation (16+)
Zintarah Haven was created to change that…
Every young woman deserves a safe place to call home; but for too many Black girls leaving care, this is far from reality.
Many find themselves isolated, unsupported, and at risk of exploitation or homelessness. Systemic barriers, like adultification, racial bias, and a lack of culturally relevant support, mean their needs often go unmet.
Zintarah Haven was created as more than just a supported accommodation, it’s a pledge. The name combines our founder’s daughter’s name with a promise:
At Zintarah Haven, we provide safety, guidance, and family-like care, ensuring every girl feels valued, heard, and supported as they transition into independent adulthood.
A Pathway to Independence
We equip girls with life skills, confidence, and practical support to ensure a smooth transition into adulthood, education, and employment.
Specialist Care for Black Girls Leaving Care
Unlike traditional supported living, we go beyond basic accommodation. Our holistic, culturally responsive approach ensures every girl placed with us receives:
We address unique challenges faced by Black care leavers; providing culturally aware, trauma-informed support that fosters healing, resilience, and growth.
Protection from Exploitation & Homelessness
Early intervention is key. Our stable, nurturing environment reduces risks and ensures each young woman has the tools she needs to thrive beyond care.
At Zintarah Haven, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Our services are designed specifically for Black girls leaving care, incorporating cultural identity, self-development, and long-term empowerment.
